Meet Jonathan

Jonathan Mountain is a husband, father, and lifelong fly fisherman who has spent the last 15 years learning the rivers and mountain streams of Alberta intimately. What started as a passion became a calling — and for the past 5 years, Jonathan has been sharing that passion as a professional guide, specializing in the wild trout waters of southern Alberta.

Jonathan's days on the water are built around one thing: making sure you have the best possible experience. It starts the night before your trip, when he reaches out personally with a weather update, any special notes, and everything you need to know so you show up ready.

On the day of, you'll meet at a planned location, load up in the truck, and shuttle down to the river together. Once at the water, Jonathan walks you through drift boat safety before you push off — no rush, no shortcuts. Everything is covered.

From there, the river takes over. All gear and lunch are provided — you don't need to bring a thing. If you have a favourite rod you like to fish, bring it along, but it's absolutely not required. Jonathan's job is to put you on fish and make sure every hour counts.

Certified in First Aid and a graduate of Guide School, Jonathan brings both the expertise and the care to make your day on the water safe, productive, and unforgettable.
